The Town of La Salle, Manitoba will be able to continue to expand its community amenities thanks to the successful completion of the Ventura Community Challenge. Ventura Land Company promised to match any fundraising by the town up to $15,000. Together, the community smashed through that barrier raising a total of $85,000. The money will go to the LSCU Complex to be used to improve and expand children and youth programming and activities. Phase 3 of Ventura Land Company’s residential development in La Salle, MB is moving forward. A spokesman for the company said building permits for its Prairie View Lakes Development will be available starting Thursday. The latest phase, the third of 20 planned, features 43 single-family lots. When all phases are complete, company officials said the neighbourhood will have more than 500 homes. Canadian home sales picked up on May as buyers came back into the market helped by low mortgage rates, but economists cautioned against the momentum continuing.   The La Salle River Inn is a great place to grab breakfast and a coffee or pizza and a beer – whatever you do end up having it will be delicious. Not only are they serving great food but they are investing in the community that they do business in. The River Inn, owned by Drew Howard, donated all the kitchen equipment in the new LSCU Complex.
